Word on the internet is the new Falcon and Winter Soldier Disney+ show is setting up the Thunderbolts.

The Thunderbolts made their first appearance in Incredible Hulk #449 back in 1997.

This introduction certainly makes sense after Endgame. The Thunderbolts appeared to help protect the world after the Avengers were presumed dead after the Onslaught crossover event.

But if you know your Thunderbolts history, they were disguised as heroes and instead were villains. A plot twist that really surprised Marvel readers.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out on Disney+, if that's Marvel's route to introducing this team to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
